How it works

Quiet checks. Clear decisions.

01

It checks the page you are on

StoreSwitch can compare saved items, a product page, or the current cart against nearby Walmart stores.

02

It shows the math

You see the lower store, changed prices, and on cart a line-item breakdown before deciding whether the switch is worth it.

03

You decide

Store switching is never automatic. You review the store change and confirm before the selected store is updated.

Trust model

A shopping utility, not a tracker with a coupon costume.

No account, no background monitoring, no cart contents sent to a backend.

Permission scope is Walmart only, so it cannot read or run on any other site.

No analytics, no background telemetry, no third-party scripts. Optional debug reports are sanitized and user-triggered; the full privacy policy details what stays in local storage and why.

FAQ

StoreSwitch questions, answered.

What is StoreSwitch?

StoreSwitch is a Chrome extension and Walmart price checker for nearby stores while you shop on walmart.com.

Is StoreSwitch a coupon extension?

No. StoreSwitch does not hunt coupon codes or compare other retailers. It checks whether another nearby Walmart store has a lower price for the items you are already viewing.

Does it switch stores automatically?

No. It can check My Items, product pages, and cart automatically, but switching stores always requires review and confirmation.

Does StoreSwitch send my cart to a server?

No. Cart contents and price checks stay in your browser by default. A sanitized debug report is sent to 0th Canvas only if you choose to send one for support.

Does it compare Walmart to Amazon, Target, or Best Buy?

No. This version is intentionally Walmart-only, focused on nearby store price differences.

What happens if a store does not carry an item?

The breakdown labels unavailable items instead of hiding them inside a fake savings number.
